Angélica Vasconcellos is an Associate Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC Minas, Brazil), with expertise in animal behavior and welfare. Her research has primarily focused on the effects of human–animal interactions on both wild and domestic species, contributing to the understanding of their behavioral and welfare needs. She is the author or co-author of five book chapters and 34 peer-reviewed articles. She served as Treasurer of the Brazilian Ethological Society from 2021 to 2022 and is currently a member of the Ethics Committee for the Use of Animals at PUC Minas. In addition, she has acted as a reviewer for more than 20 scientific journals and has contributed as an evaluator and/or organizer of scientific events, including international initiatives such as those supported by the Vienna Science and Technology Fund. Her academic trajectory is marked by transdisciplinary and multinational collaborations, reflecting a commitment to cooperative research and the advancement of integrative approaches in animal behavior and welfare science.
