Joshua Tasoff is an Associate Professor in Claremont Graduate University’s Department of Economic Sciences. His research focus is in (1) behavioral economics, a subfield of economics that focuses on enriching economic analysis with psychology, and in (2) animal-welfare economics, a new field that seeks ways to alleviate non-human animal suffering. His research has been published in prestigious journals including Nature Food, American Economic Journal: Microeconomics, Economic Journal, Management Science, and the Journal of the European Economic Association. His research has also been featured in public outlets including the Los Angeles Times, NPR Hidden Brain, NPR Morning Edition, The Atlantic, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, amongst others. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley and his SB in economics, from MIT.
