Grant J. Rich (Ph.D., University of Chicago) is a fellow of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association for Psychological Science (APS) and faculty at Walden and Saybrook Universities. He has authored or served as lead editor of 12 books, including the forthcoming book, “Psychological basis of human-animal interactions” (Springer). He is cochair of APA’s Animal Summit at the Annual APA Convention. He is past president of the Society for Media Psychology & Technology (APA). Among his honors, he is recipient of two NEH Fellowships as well as the Frances Mullen Award for Distinguished Contributions to International Psychology (ICP: International Council of Psychologists). He is editor of the Springer International and Cultural Psychology Book Series (ICUP), which presently has over 42 books. He has lived, worked, and taught in Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Alaska, and resides in Juneau, Alaska.
