‍Dr. Michael W. Fox, living in Minnesota, USA, is a veterinarian, graduate of the Royal Veterinary College, London, with a PhD in the faculty of medicine and Doctor of Science in ethology/animal behavior from the University of London, England: Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, of the British Veterinary Association, Honor Roll Member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, member of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association, founding member of the International Association for Applied Animal Ethology, and Honorary Diplomate of the American Veterinary One Health Society. Formerly a Vice President of the Humane Society of the U.S. and associate professor of psychology at Washington University, St Louis, where he was given the Alumni Federation outstanding Faculty Award.

He helped make animal behavior and animal welfare science part of the veterinary teaching curriculum around the world, and through his weekly U.S. syndicated newspaper column Animal Doctor, published in 12 states, promotes companion animal well-being, reverence for life and One Health.
