Sarah M. Bexell is Clinical Professor in the Graduate School of Social Work and Affiliated Faculty with the Institute for Human Animal Connection at the University of Denver. She is also a Fellow with the Oxford Center for Animal Ethics. Her current scholarship explores the mental health impacts of animal protection involvement. She teaches and does research in the areas of ecological justice, regenerative education, animal protection, and the mental health implications of species loss and ecological decline. She practices a plant-based lifestyle and rescues dogs.
