Jon M. Arnemo is a professor at the University of Inland Norway. He is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in pharmacology. After working in private mixed animal practice for six years, he became a full-time wildlife veterinarian in 1991. His major research topics include wildlife anesthesia, One Health, ecophysiology, ecotoxicology, translational medicine, lead exposure from spent ammunition and wound ballistics in big game. He has authored or coauthored more than 700 publications, including 170 peer-reviewed articles. He has supervised numerous veterinary and master students and Ph.D. candidates. He has has been involved in wildlife research projects in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, North America and South America. He resides on a mountain farm in south-central Norway and is a dedicated moose hunter.
