Núria Almiron, Ph.D., is Professor of Ethics and Political Economy of Communication at the Department of Communication of Pompeu Fabra University. She specializes in communication ethics, persuasion, critical public relations studies, and critical animal studies. She has been Co-Founder and Co-Director of the UPF-Centre for Animal Ethics since 2015 and has served as principal investigator of three funded research projects related to critical animal studies: THINKClima (2017–2021), COMPASS (2021–2025), and PESTS (2026–2029). She has authored or co-authored more than 80 peer-reviewed journal articles and is the author, co-author, or editor of 20 books. Her latest edited book in English is Animal Suffering & Public Relations: The Ethics of Persuasion in the Animal Industrial Complex (Routledge, 2024). Her forthcoming book, The Last Experiment: Animals, Consensus, and Propaganda, will be published in Spanish by Plaza y Valdés in autumn 2026.
