Laura Sanchez, Ph.D.

Laura Sanchez is a Professor of Sociology at Bowling Green State University. She earned her Ph.D. as a family sociologist and demographer at UW-Madison. Her work explores human-animal interaction with a focus on horse-human relationships. Her current work addresses the meaning of horses’ lives and horse-human relationships and cultures in an era of mass privatization for profit of public communities and goods.
