Sue Dougherty, DVM, MA, DACVIM

Sue Dougherty is a veterinary internal medicine specialist and currently practices part time. She has been serving as an officer of the board of directors for Think Wild, a wildlife rehabilitation, education and conservation organization in her home of central Oregon. She is very active in the Think Wild organization. Wildlife was her focus through college with a BS degree in wildlife management and a master’s degree in biology with work on Harbor seals. Her veterinary career has been focused on small animal internal medicine; however she has come full circle with her work currently with Think Wild. Her passion is wildlife photography, and she has traveled extensively for that, won awards, and hopes to create images that increase awareness of the wildlife that we share the world with. To that end she also has a “Substack,” (playing offleash) where she writes stories about her travels, as well as important information to do with the perils of the wild ones. Sue, her husband Mark and two dogs live in Sisters Oregon, their adult children are always close to their hearts, though they reside in Colorado.
